NOTICE: Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Frankston Sunday Market

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a serious and dangerous respiratory illness. It can spread from person to person through the air and by touching infected surfaces. It poses serious health risks to all people, most importantly those who are elderly or those with existing medical/health conditions. Symptoms include fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue and shortness of breath. For more information about Coronavirus (COVID-19), please visit the Australian Department of Health’s website.

Following the advice and directions of the Australian Federal Government, Chief Medical Officer, Victorian State Government, Frankston City Council and the Frankston Dolphins Football Club, the very difficult decision has been made that the Frankston Sunday Market will be closed until further notice.

This decision was not made easily, as so many people in Melbourne’s southern suburbs, including the elderly, rely heavily on the Frankston Sunday Market for income and fresh foods. Above all, we have a moral and ethical obligation to ensure we protect the health and wellbeing of our stallholders and patrons, including the community of Frankston and its surrounding suburbs.

Stall bookings will be unavailable during this time and updates will be posted via our social media pages (FacebookInstagram), as well as here.

You can also sign up updates via our mailing list here.

We very much look forward to welcoming everybody back in the near future as a patron or stallholder. Thank you for your understanding and for kindly supporting this 40+ year old Frankston icon.
